Major Guitar Scale Sequencing
Sequencing is a tool that guitar players use to help give their scales a more melodic sound. Basically, a scale sequence is just a pattern of notes repeated throughout a scale. Sequencing is great for creating more interesting melodic lines but it is also great for working out your right and left hands.
There are many different scale sequences that you could learn but this lesson will focus on sequencing a major scale in groups of 3 notes. If you have never messed with scale sequencing before it can be a bit strange feeling at first. I encourage you to start off slowly and simply concentrate on memorizing the sequence and getting used to the feel of the scale sequence in general.
Below is a video that will show you how to play this major scale sequence. Memorize this sequence and try to start using it in your guitar solos. If you like the sound of this guitar scale sequence there are tons of other online guitar lessons where you can learn more.
